SLIP CELEBRATES 50TH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Sri Lanka Institute of Packaging (SLIP) marked a significant milestone with the successful conclusion of its 50th Annual General Meeting (AGM). The landmark event brought together past presidents, distinguished guests, and members of the Institute, providing an opportunity to reflect on SLIP’s journey and reaffirm its commitment to advancing Sri Lanka’s packaging industry.

Presenting his Annual Report, President Mr. Thusith Wijesinghe reviewed the Institute’s performance for the 2024/2025 term, describing the year as a particularly dynamic and impactful period. He highlighted key milestones, industry-focused initiatives, and activities delivered in support of the packaging sector. Mr. Wijesinghe also expressed his sincere appreciation to the membership, the Deputy President, and the Executive Committee for their dedication, collaboration, and unwavering support throughout the year.In his address, President Mr. Nishan Perera thanked the membership for their confidence in the newly appointed leadership team and reaffirmed the Committee’s commitment to strengthening SLIP’s role in advancing the packaging profession, both locally and internationally.The 50th AGM concluded on a positive and forward-looking note, reinforcing SLIP’s continued dedication to professionalism, innovation, sustainability, and excellence in Sri Lanka’s packaging industry.
